  • Harold has been named a “Broadcast Pioneer” by the Texas Association of Broadcasters and is a 2009 inductee into the Texas Radio Hall of Fame in addition to many regional and national awards for journalism.

Examples: The Houston Championship Chili Cook-off for 10 years, The World Championship Barbecue Cook-Off at the Astrodome for 10 years, the World Championship Chili Cook-Off in Terlingua, Texas for 3 years, The Answer Foundation Sporting Clays Classic and co-created what became the Miss Hawaiian Tropic Beauty Pageant internationally.
